Dr. Anderson, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, received her B.A. from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, a national academic honors society. She then returned to Omaha where she received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She graduated with distinction, and was also elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honors society.
Dr. Anderson moved to Seattle, WA where she completed both her anesthesiology training followed by interventional pain management fellowship at Virginia Mason Medical Center, an institution known nationally and internationally for its expertise in regional anesthesia and pain management. She joined Austin Pain Associates to practice pain management in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary setting. Dr. Anderson now resides in Texas with her husband who serves in the military and is a surgeon at Ft. Hood’s military base.
Dr. Anderson has also been published in “Anesthesia and Analgesia” a well-known academic anesthesia journal. She is currently a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, International Anesthesia Research Society, Texas Pain Society and American Pain Society and, the National Professionals of Excellence.
